'he wants a new stadium so he can share with fulham'

Shame he isn't going to find the government paying for it for him then. That's not how it works here...

Re: London NFL Team
The jags are trying to move the team to London, with Khan the owner is moving to get sponsorship from Jaguar Cars (an old client of mine that's how I know this)

He wants a new stadium so they can share with Fulham.

both teams he owns are shit though, not sure the NFL take him that seriously but they are prime candidates to move given Floriday is top heavy with teams.

Tampa
Miami
Jacksonville
and Carolina just up the road.

Re: London NFL Team
I can't disagree with anything that was said in the previous post - I certainly wouldn't stop supporting the Steelers if a franchise were to move to London.
However, I would have a soft spot for them - it is already happening with the Jags as plucky underdogs. And I would certainly buy a season ticket, simply because I enjoy watching the game.

Re: London NFL Team
I love NFL. Been to every game at Wembley as a neutral on that basis. I have watched my team, The Dolphins, in the States on a number of occasions. I would never support a London based team however. I have watched Miami since the 49r's Miami superbowl. I could no more switch allegiance from the Dolphins than I could from West Ham. As long as there are teams travelling over here I will go and watch them but to support "Team UK" It ain't happening. I will support my team in their country particularly on the road (Away games in San Diego, San Francisco, New York for example) have a far greater attraction than some north west London dogs hole.

Not sure how it would fuck up the pitch, unless you mean because they paint all the lines in different places and painting over them again in green would be an issue?

Rugby would fuck up the pitch.
Rugby League would fuck up the pitch.
Motocross would fuck up the pitch.

NFL would fuck up the pitch as much as lawn bowls.

The fa need to pay for Wembley. Don't be surprised to see England on tour again and Wembley hosting NFL.

All the best sports in the world come from Britain. Why the fuck would we want to import a contrived, boring and silly sport from the US where all the sports they come up with aren't worth a rub?

Apparently it's right opposite Wembley stadium, so I'm guessing it's round a different side to where Wembley way is.

Re: London NFL Team
The Chargers are trying to get a new stadium deal from San Diego at the moment...so using the usual threats of if they don't get it, they'll move to LA.

Problem is LA has approved new stadiums only if a team agrees to move there. So would be this strange situation of a team not having a home pitch while the new stadium was being built. Like the old Houston Oilers franchise when they moved to Tennessee. So assume a team does move to LA...I could see them playing a lot of games in London while the new stadium was built

There are two ready existing stadiums in LA where college football powerhouses USC and UCLA play, but they've told the NFL to fuck off as they routinely pull in north of 100k supporters and don't want to do any ground sharing.
